Duke University · Chapter

Built for
business.

Delta Sigma Pi at Duke prepares students for careers in business, finance, consulting, and beyond through rigorous professional development, brotherhood, and service.

Founded in 1907, Delta Sigma Pi is the oldest professional business fraternity in the country. Our chapter carries that standard on West Campus.

About

A chapter with
a standard.

Our brothers come from every corner of Duke — from Trinity and Pratt, from finance to the humanities, from Durham to Dubai. What they share is a commitment to becoming serious professionals and better people, and a belief that those two pursuits reinforce each other.

Weekly chapter meetings. Recurring professional development. Service partnerships across Durham. Alumni that actually show up. The fraternity is structured, purposeful, and unapologetically focused on preparing brothers for the careers they want.

Offerings

What brothers get.

Six areas where our chapter invests in its members. Each is programmed deliberately — chaired by an officer, on a calendar, and held to a standard.

01

Professional Development

Weekly PD sessions on recruiting, case prep, technicals, modeling, consulting frameworks, and industry deep-dives — led by brothers and alumni.

02

Career Placement

Recruiting pipelines into IB, consulting, PE, tech, and strategy, backed by a chapter that has placed brothers at most major firms.

03

Alumni Mentorship

1:1 matching with alumni in your target industry. Real conversations, warm intros, honest feedback — not just a directory.

04

Service Partnerships

Sustained, project-based work with Durham organizations. Measured impact instead of one-off volunteer hours.

05

Scholarship Support

Study groups, academic coaching, course intel, and a culture that expects excellence in the classroom first.

06

Brotherhood

Lifelong friendships built through shared standards, chapter tradition, and the kind of weeks that turn classmates into family.

Approach

How we
operate.

Our chapter runs a four-phase cycle that compounds year over year. It is the difference between a club and a professional fraternity.

  1. 01

    Recruit

Each semester we run an open, transparent rush process. We look for curious, high-character students with a point of view — not resumes.

  2. 02

    Develop

Pledging centers on professional fundamentals, chapter fluency, and a relentless focus on each pledge's career goals. No gimmicks, no busywork.

  3. 03

    Serve

Active brothers commit to sustained service with Durham-area partners, and to the chapter itself — officer roles, committee work, mentorship.

  4. 04

    Ascend

Brothers graduate into top firms, new ventures, graduate programs, and the alumni network. The relationship doesn't end at commencement.

In their words

Brothers &
alumni.

DSP gave me a second family at Duke and a direct line into the industry I wanted. The brothers I pledged with are still the people I call when I have a real question.
